It is hundreds of thousands of hectares of burned forests, millions of tons of toxic waste, thousands of destroyed ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>UAH 1.26 trillion \u2014 land pollution and littering;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UAH 955.8 billion \u2014 damage to the atmosphere from fires and explosions;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UAH 21 billion \u2014 soil damage;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>more than 105 thousand hectares of forests have been destroyed or cut down;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>75 million trees and 75 thousand animals are lost forever.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Every shelling, every explosion is not only the ruin of buildings, but also a blow to ecosystems that have been formed over centuries.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udfdc\ufe0f Nature under attack: landscapes that won&#8217;t recover on their own<\/h3>\n\n<p>The war turned thousands of hectares of Ukrainian land into dead zones.<\/p>\n\n<p>The soil structure has been destroyed, the composition of the air has changed, and hundreds of new reservoirs have formed \u2014 not from rain, but from sinkholes.<\/p>\n\n<p>The mine danger makes even basic restoration of territories impossible.<\/p>\n\n<p>Key ecosystems in eastern and southern Ukraine were affected: <strong>forests, steppes, and reserves.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Especially in the Donetsk region, where the nature reserve fund suffered losses of over <strong>2 trillion UAH.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Over <strong>45,000 hectares<\/strong> of protected areas are under occupation, and degradation continues daily.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Nature is losing its ability to self-regulate.
