AVELIFE Institute joined the first regional dialogue on the adaptation of Ukraine’s agricultural sector to EU law in Vinnytsia

On January 27, 2026, the first in a series of regional dialogues between authorities, international partners, and business on the adaptation of Ukraine’s agricultural sector to European Union law took place in Vinnytsia. The event became a practical platform for discussing real mechanisms for integrating Ukrainian agricultural production into the European space.

The Director of the AVELIFE Institute of Nanotechnology and Organic Products took direct part in the event, presenting the Institute’s approach to sustainable development of agrosystems, restoration of soil fertility, and greening of production as the basis for Ukraine’s future competitiveness in the EU.

The European vector as a systemic transformation

The key idea of the dialogue was that the European integration of the agricultural sector is not a formal alignment of legislation with EU directives, but a profound restructuring of the entire logic of the agricultural economy:

  • from resource-exhausting models to renewable ones;
  • from short-term benefit to long-term sustainability;
  • from chemical dependence to biologization and closed nutrient cycles.

It is in this direction that the AVELIFE Institute has been working for many years, developing technologies for organo-mineral fertilizers, bioactivators, biodestructors, and microbiological consortia for soils.

What was discussed at the panel sessions

The following blocks of issues were considered during the event:

  • current status of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU;
  • new rules and principles for the formation of the common agricultural policy (CAP);
  • changes in the state control system: simplification of procedures, transparency, risk-oriented approach;
  • future requirements for product safety, traceability and environmental friendliness;
  • financial instruments to support business transition to new standards.

It was separately emphasized that after 2027, EU policy will become more “green” and result-oriented, and funding will increasingly depend on the achievement of environmental indicators.

The position of the AVELIFE Institute

Within the framework of the dialogue, the AVELIFE Institute emphasized that:

  • restoring soil fertility should be a basic element of agricultural policy;
  • biologization of plant nutrition is the key to reducing dependence on imported mineral fertilizers;
  • innovative organo-mineral solutions can simultaneously increase yields and reduce environmental pressure;
  • Ukraine is capable of becoming not only a raw material supplier, but also a supplier of environmental technologies for Europe.

For the Institute, participation in such events is a way to integrate its own developments into the national and European development strategy.

Why is this important for Ukrainian producers?

Future changes mean that agribusinesses must now:

  • prepare for new quality and environmental standards;
  • implement soil restoration technologies;
  • reduce the carbon footprint of production;
  • to move to more closed biological cycles.

It is these areas that form the basis of practical solutions of the AVELIFE Institute.

Result

The first regional dialogue in Vinnytsia showed: the European integration of the agricultural sector is a joint process of the state, science and business. The AVELIFE Institute continues to actively participate in shaping this transformation, offering scientifically based and practically proven solutions for the sustainable future of Ukrainian agriculture.
